Proceedings against Spain for failing to properly transpose Seveso II Directive

Brussels, 12/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to move on to the next step in its proceedings against Spain for failing to properly implement the Seveso II Directive (96/82/EC) on the prevention of major industrial accidents involving dangerous chemicals. Spain will be sent a Reasoned Opinion (second stage of proceedings according to Article 226 of the Treaty) instructing it to take the necessary measures to transpose the directive and to keep the Commission...
