12/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - According to Der Spiegel on Monday, Chancellor Schröder would like Günter Verheugen to hold a key position in the European Commission to be set in place in November this year. The German weekly states that Gerhard Schröder would like the Enlargement Commissioner to be entrusted with a key portfolio such as that on competition or the internal market (see page 3 for Mr Verheugen's comments, whereby the most important aspect of the European Convention's draft...
