Trilogue on ecopoints is not conclusive

Brussels, 05/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The trialogue on 3 November on the Ecopoints case (affecting heavy goods vehicles going through Austria) was not very fruitful. The European Parliament and the Council have repeated their respective positions on the system's field of application: the Council considers that it has to be applied to all Austrian territory and not only to the Austrian Alps as Parliament wanted.
