Brussels, 10/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday the European Commission approved five promotion programmes for the consummation and trade of olive oil and table olives in the EU. Member States presenting programmes were: Spain, Greece and Italy. Total cost of measures has risen to EUR 4.88 million, 50% of which comes from the Community budget. Out of the total budget of EUR 4.88 million, Spain gets 2.74 million, Italy 1.43 million and Greece 708.292.
