First meeting of the group on security research to be held on 6 and 7 October

Brussels, 24/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The group that will advise the European Commission on research in security matters will meet for the first time on 6 and 7 October in Brussels. In addition to Commissioners Philippe Busquin, the main initiator of the group, and Erkki Liikanen, the group will be composed of four MEPs: German Christian Democrat Karl von Wogau, British Labour member Eryl McNally, Christian Rvosin (EPP-ED, Denmark); and Dutch Liberal Elly Ploij-van Gorsel.
