Brussels, 23/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Thanks to Sweden, the European Union has more means for keeping the commitment that it made at the UN conference in Monterrey (Mexico, March 2002), to increase the average level of its public development aid from 0.32% to 0.39% of GNP by 2006. According to AFP, Sweden has announced that, in 2004, its public development aid would rise from 0.81 to 0.868% of its GNP.
