Most industry ministers confirm hostility to draft legislation on chemical products as did Schröder/Chirac/Blair letter

Brussels, 23/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Hostility from Member States to the new draft regulation on chemicals was confirmed during the Competitiveness Council in Brussels on Monday. Following the initiative of Germany, most Ministers asked the Commission to not create more red tape for the chemical industry and limit its future proposals to what is strictly necessary.
