Commission suggests EU starts experimenting with the three Kyoto Protocol flexible mechanisms in 2005 for cutting greenhouse gas emissions most cost-effectively

Brussels, 23/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is suggesting that in 2005 the EU starts applying the three Kyoto Protocol flexible mechanisms for combatting climate change, three years before the Protocol comes into force (in 2008, assuming Russia ratifies it, see yesterday's EUROPE, p.9).
