In the United Kingdom, glass company PILKINGTON is too sell its aviation business to engineering company GKN for £42 million. The aviation business produces high performance glass and plastic transparent panels for civil and military aircraft, and accounts for 2% of PILKINGTON group's turnover (£2.4 bn in 2002).
