Council calls for rapid ratification of the action plan for trade and the internal market of Serbia and Montenegro

Brussels, 23/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - In its conclusions on the Balkans, the Council welcomes the finalisation of the Internal Market and Trade Action Plan by Serbia and Montenegro and urges its endorsement by the State Union Assembly. Only after ratification will the European Commission begin its feasibility study on the opening of negotiations for a Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the EU and Serbia and Montenegro.
