ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banking

Dutch bank and insurance company ING is to sell most of its Italian business to the bank UNICREDITO and British insurer AVIVA, for EUR 170 million in total. The sale covers the sale of financial services (ING SVILUPPO FINANZIARIA), traditional merchant banking (ING BANK) and life insurance (NATIONALE NEDERLANDEN). Direct banking and banking for institutions will not be sold.
