Eneko Landaburu to be next Director General for External Relations

Brussels, 08/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission is expected to take various decisions concerning appointments. According to reports in the Spanish newspaper El Païs, confirmed by Commission sources, the Commission will appoint Spaniard Eneko Landaburu as Director General for External Relations. Since January 2000 Landaburu has been Director General for Enlargement, following his time as Director General for Regional Policy.
