George Papandreou wants UN resolutions to be applied "to the letter"

Brussels, 10/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - In anticipation of Javier Solana's forthcoming trip to seven Middle Eastern countries (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.4), the President-in-Office of the EU Council, George Papandreou, stresses in a press release published on Thursday that "we hope for a positive development in Iraq, which would be for UN resolutions to be applied to the letter, and I believe that that could be a guarantee for peace.
