Parliament approves Bourlanges report providing for three "categories" of acts in future Constitution and calling for different review procedures for the genuinely "constitutional" part of future Treaty and for that on its policies

Strasbourg, 17/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - Tuesday, the European Parliament approved by 364 in favour, 149 against and 16 abstentions the report by the UDF member Jean-Louis Bourlanges MEP on the typology of acts and hierarchy of norms in the European Union, voting in favour of a division into three categories: constitutional, legislative and regulatory (for full summary, see EUROPE of 23 November, page 6).
