17/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has, through the accelerate procedure, authorised the creation of a joint-venture between the Italian subsidiary of Endemol (Spanish group Telefonica) and Mediatrade (Italian group Mediaset) which raises no problem of competition. The new company will be active in producing "soap opera"-type leisure television programmes.
