Brussels, 17/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - At the Commission's meeting in Strasbourg on Tuesday, Greece's request for a derogation to Directive 99/32/EC on the level of sulphur in heavy fuels used in electricity plants was rejected. Greece wanted authorisation to use heavy fuels levels on its territory that had a 3% maximum mass.
