According to Luxembourg, German savings tax project changes Council debate on taxation package

Brussels, 17/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - Luxembourg Budget Minister Luc Frieden expressed astonishment at the project relating to withholding on savings income, announced on Monday by the German government (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.13). This is a "new element in the European discussion on savings taxation", Luc Frieden told the Luxembourg Parliament.
