Celanese may purchase the emulsions business of Clariant

Brussels, 17/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the German firm Celanese AG to take over the emulsion product business of the Swiss firm Clariant AG. The Commission noted that Celanese did not operate directly in the field of emulsions or emulsion powders, but in the field of monomers that are the basic components in the manufacture of polymers intended for emulsions. It thus analysed the possibility of Celanese cutting off access to other emulsion manufacturers...
