Brussels, 28/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - In an open letter to Commissioner Pascal Lamy dated 27/1102, the European trade representatives welcomed Union proposals on liberalisation of access to industrial markets throughout the world, as "another step in the right direction". Eurocommerce and the Foreign Trade Association are, nonetheless, "encouraging" Mr Lamy and his team of negotiators "to resist the temptation to tone down your position".
