28/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - Tony Bunyan from Statewatch has sharply criticised the draft agreement of exchanges of personal data between Europol and the USA, which is expected to be approved on Friday by the Council (see EUROPE 27 November p 7). He claims that the document is "poorly drafted, ambiguous and contradictory…exceeds Europol's mandate and is incompatible with the data protection principles of the EU".
