Funding in Algeria for a project of a private Egyptian group

Luxembourg, 28/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted over 60 million euro to Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), a large private Egyptian group, for the construction and running in Algeria of a new cement factory near M'Sila, 240 km south west of Algiers. The investment, backed by SFI (World Bank Group), is the first operation in the private sector in the Cement business in Algeria.
