Brussels, 28/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - British Liberal-Democrat Chris Huhne, member of the European Parliament, considers that, with its proposal of "taking into account low levels of debt when assessing whether a budget deficit is excessive" (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.8), the European Commission has taken account the main concerns of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, concerning the discipline of the Stability and Growth Pact.
