24/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is launching "on line" consultation for information on the situation of passenger rights in EU rail transport. On the basis of opinions received (date limit being 24 November 2002) and a hearing of the representatives of passengers and the rail sector on 15 November, the Commission is expected to propose a regulation at the end of the year (http: //europa.eu.int/comm/transport/rail/library/consultation.pdf).
