Environment Committee gives go-ahead for appointment of Geoffrey Podger as executive director of European Food Safety Authority

Brussels, 24/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - British national Geoffrey Podger, put forward by the European Food Safety Authority's management committee to be their Executive Director (see Europe of 2 October, p.8) was successful at his interview at the EP's Environment, Public Health and Consumer Policy Committee.
