Berès says Monti should present to MEPs the lessons learnt from cancellation of the veto to Schneider-Legrand merger

Strasbourg, 24/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - French Socialist Pervenche Berès called on the Chairperson of the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs to "very rapidly" invite European Competition Commissioner Mario Monti so that MEPs might be able to question him on the "lessons to be drawn" from the decision taken by the first Chamber of the Court of First Instance to cancel the European Commission's ban on the Schneider-Legrand merger (see EUROPE of 23 October, pages...
