"Monitoring" group on Lamfalussy method kicks off on 7 October

Brussels, 26/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Group of six independent experts that will oversee the institutional functioning of the "Lamfalussy Mechanism" when adopting regulation on share prices, is expected to be officially created on 7 October. The Council has just appointed two experts, Kari Marie Lotsberg and Mario Draghi; the Commission has chosen Michel Prada and Walter van Gerven and Parliament has selected Graham Bishop and Norbert Walter.
