26/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - During the "European Day of Languages" on 26 September for which the theme was "life-long learning", the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Walter Schwimmer, stressed the importance of learning different languages and communicating in them, "which help to promote cultural diversity and mutual understanding on our continent".
