Greens support Grigory Pasko

Strasbourg, 05/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Green group and the regionalists from the European Free Alliance decided in Strasbourg on Wednesday to cal for Russian environmental journalist Grigory Pasko to be awarded the Sakharov Prize. Pasko was condemned to two years four months in prison by the Pacific fleet's military court after the publication of an article on the dumping at sea of nuclear waste and old arms.
