05/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of a report by Luxembourg Liberal Colette Flesch, the European Parliament approved the conclusion of the eleventh convention between the European Community and the UN office for Palestinian refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA) concerning aid to refugees in the Middle East countries for 4 years (2002-2005). The amount of aid will be EUR 237 for the period concerned as opposed to 120 million under the previous convention (running three years).
