ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electrical goods

The Turkish manufacturer of electrical household appliances, ARCELIK, has acquired 50.97% of capital in ARTIC (turnover of EUR 41 million in 2001 with 2100 workers and 350,000 appliances made per year), the Romanian leader in refrigeration appliances, with 45% of the local market. It is also intending to make an offer on the rest of ARTIC's stock
