The German BERTELSMANN group (turnover of EUR 8.83 bn in first quarter of 2002) is re-focusing its traditional activities (press, publishing, music) with large-scale selling of its on-line sales activities at BOL - BERTELSMANN ON LINE. BERTELSMANN has explained that the groups is examining a range of options for outlets in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands either by ordinary sales of the BOL sites or by an employees' syndicate buy-out.
