Commission clears acquisition of parts of Daewoo by General Motors

Brussels, 23/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Commission authorised the acquisition by US company General Motors Corporation to acquire parts of Daewoo Motor Company Ltd. The acquired assets include production facilities in Korea and Vietnam, and nine overseas sales subsidiaries in Austria, the Benelux region, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
