23/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a backdrop to the General Affairs/External Relations Council on Monday, the Portuguese Minister for Foreign Affairs, Antonio Martins da Cruz, stated that he had asked President Prodi and the Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid, Poul Nielsen, to monitor continued European aid to Angola because the catastrophic situation in the country had not ended.
