18/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, the European Parliament's Group of the European People's Party-European Democrats expressed its satisfaction at the outcome of the renewal of the EP Presidency mid-mandate (election of Pat Cox) and the election of the Vice-Presidents (7 of their members out of 14, compared to the previous 5), the Quaestors (3 out of 5, instead of 2) and the Chairs of Parliamentary committees (7 as in the first half of the legislature).
