18/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - Only five EU Member States (Austria, Germany, Finland, Ireland and Luxembourg) have transposed the 16 January 2000 directive on e-commerce on time, in other words before 17 January 2002. The UK is expected to follow suit this summer, but there are no indications of when the other laggard Member States intend to meet their commitments in this connection.
