France's LAFARGE, shouldered by its South Korean subsidiary HALLA CEMENT, has launched a joint venture with Korea's second biggest cement company TONG YANG MAJOR CORPORATION through a direct investment of $ 40 million. The new company will take the name TONG YANG CEMENT CORPORATION. HALLA CEMENT will hold 25% and TONG YANG MAJOR CORPORATION 75%.
