Brussels, 30/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has adopted three reports by Göran Färm (PES, Sweden) endorsing, subject to various political criteria (state of law and co-operation with the International Criminal Tribunal), the Commissions proposals to increase macrofinancial aid for Macedonia, Bosnia Herzegovina and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Yugoslavia. The EP endorsed a further EUR 45 million in aid (taking the 2001 total to EUR 345 million). Macedonia. The EP endorsed the proposal to provide the remaining EUR 10 million in aid (from the EUR 80 million total granted in 2000). Bosnia Herzegovina. The EP has endorsed the release by the end of the year of the third tranche (EUR 15 million in aid) of the EUR 60 million in macrofinancial aid.
