30/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the report by Dutch Green Joost Lagendijk on the European agency for reconstruction in the Balkans in Brussels on Wednesday, the European Parliament amended the Commission's proposal to extend the agency's scope to include the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on a "provisional" basis. The EP also wants the Commission to shed full light on its aid and external assistance policy for the Balkans by 31 January 2002.
