Brussels, 30/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the creation of Carsid SA, a joint venture between Duferco Investment SA, Usinor SA and Société Wallonne de Gestion et de Participation (Sogepa). The new company will specialise in the production of carbon steel and alloy slabs. The Commission examined the operation in relation to the ECSC treaty.
