Commission grants additional emergency aid package of Euro 1 million to Macedonia

Brussels, 11/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Union has allotted a sum of Euro one million in emergency aid for displaced persons following the conflict in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYRM). This new decision will enable aid to get through to 45, 000 displaced persons within the country and the 6,000 host families. This aid package will be overseen by the European Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) and come in the form of food and toiletry parcels. Humanitarian aid provided...
