Brussels, 16/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to the latest figures provided last Friday by Eurostat, growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the euro-zone is estimated at +0.6% during the first quarter of 2001 compared to June (+0.5%) and that of the EU15, at 0.5%. Compared to the first quarter of 2000, GDP in the euro-zone and that of the EU15 both increased 2.6% after a rise of 2.9% in both areas during the previous quarter.
