16/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - During its special JHA session, last Friday, the EU Council approved without debate a decision introducing into the Treaty on the Energy Charter references to the WTO provisions applicable (rather than references to the GATT provisions). These included a list of energy-related equipment in the commercial provisions.
