26/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Consultative Mergers Committee, gathering together representatives from the competition authorities of 15 Member States, unanimously ruled, on Monday, with one abstention, against the merger of GENERAL ELECTRIC and HONEYWELL, thus bringing its near unanimous support to Commissioner Monti, who is opposed to the agreement in its present form.
