KBC ASSURACES has bought all the remaining shares (or 24.23%) of CSOB POJIST'OVNA from its parent company CHMELARSTVI, thereby becoming the only shareholder (100%) in the Czech insurance company. The price of the transaction has not been revealed. KBC ASSURANCES also holds an 82% stake in the bank CSOB. KBC and CSOB intend, in the long-term, to pool all the insurance activities of the Belgian group in the Czech Republic into a single insurance company.
