19/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - By adopting the report drawn up by Luxembourg's Christian Democrat Astrid Lulling; the European Parliament modified, on first reading (codecision), the proposal for revising the 1997 regulation regarding structural statistics on business. The ten amendments tabled by the EP in particular aim to introduce certain aspects linked to gender (number of women employed in credit establishments in particular) and the development of the internal market.
