The French cement group LAFARGE is on the verge to taking a 37.5% stake in the cement business of LARSEN AND TOUBRO, one of the foremost cement producers in India. According to The Times of India, it has offered $105 per tone for this division whose production capacity is 16 million tonnes a year.
