Commission provisionally bans exports of pork from Catalonia in Spain

Brussels, 15/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - Following the favourable opinion issued by the Standing Veterinary Committee (SVC), the Commission decided on Friday to provisionally ban all exports of live pigs as well as pig sperm, ovules and embryos from Catalonia (Spain), where recently a case of classical swine fever has appeared.
