In Italy, SNIA (medical and bio-engineering technology; turnover of ITL 1.265 billion in 2000) is on the verge of selling off its activities in agri-chemicals gathered within CAFFARO (turnover of ITL 270 billion in 2000 with 380 employees) to ISAGRO (turnover of ITL 86 billion in 2000).
