The French COMEX and the German GERLING, the world's second largest reinsurance company, have entered into the capital of GEOCEAN (turnover of FF 90 million in 2000 with 40 employees), company specialised in the soil recognition at sea and maritime works. The capital of this company is now 61% held by the founder Pierre Becker, 19% by SOLETANCHE, 10% by COMEX and also 10% by GERLING.
