Merger of European activities of Amcor, Danisco and Ahlstrom

Brussels, 12/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European C ommission approved the planned merger of the European activities of the companies Amcor Ltd (Australia), Danisco A/S (Denmark) and Ahlstrom Corp (Finland). The joint-venture, Amcor Flexible Europe A/F (AFE), will be controlled by Amcor and Danisco, Ahltrom only having a minority stake. AFE will the Europe's foremost supplier in flexible packaging.
